The permissions being corrected in the linked post are not for the embedded files within Photoshop, but simply the settings files where information about how the application should behave are stored. If you can neither read nor write these files, then the program will no behave correctly (including crashing). This kinds of problems often arise after doing a major upgrade of the OS (from 10.9 to 10.10 for example). NOTE: the User Library folder (/Users/[User Name]/Library) is a hidden folder and will not show up if you try to navigate directly to it. See: Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later

- Also, have you scanned your system for corrupt fonts?
- InDesign may be stalling on recovering an open (but damaged) document when it launches, you can delete the recovery data from this folder:
- Users/[User Name]/Library/Cache/Adobe InDesign/Version[#.0]/InDesign Recovery
- To get to the Library folder, at the finder, go to the Go menu, when you hold down the Option key, your hidden Library folder will show up.
- Choose Library
- Open the Caches > Adobe InDesign > Version 11.0 folder and delete > AdobeWLCMCache.dat
- If that doesn't work, try un-installing and re-installing InDesign.

Your original question was how to clear history states not how to clear snapshots. Snapshots can only be deleted one at a time, If your creating the same names snapshots all the time. I would think you could record an action to delete those snapshots. Or just let Photoshop create the names....

How do you change it to always run in Admin mode? I'm not interested in updating video drivers, as the last two times I did it created major problems in Premier Elements Video Editing. Okay I have noticed this problem for years now....Not sure why Firefox or Adobe can't get it together but in my experience it only happens when I download the document using the Firefox browser. When I switch to the Google Chrome Browser I open without incidence. Now here is the work around using Firefox. Just download the document you can view it but if you want to save it to another location...(it's already saved in your download folder) you will need to go into the Download Folder and Cut it, Rename it(If you need to) and Paste it in the preferred location, or leave it there. Moral of the story you lose the option to do anything to the file while it is opened from Firefox. I hope this helps you guys.

As a start, concerning keyboard shortcuts, the only one I was interested in was the one that would take the CTI all the way to the end of the timeline - - or another one that would take it all the way to the beginning of the timeline. I think I saw them somewhere in Help as a TIP in moving around the timeline. It was either alt-end, or shift-end, or ctrl-end. I just looked in customized keyboard shortcuts and in Help again. Could not find anything about moving all the way to the beginning or end of the timeline. Did I dream these one up. I do use the split clip shortcut regularly and successfully (Ctrl-K).
Now, parenthetically, I am looking after an elderly neighbor who is just home from the hospital. My time for working on the computer is spotty at best. So, if I don't get back to you right away, that's my excuse. My computer time should improve soon; have help for me and her coming. Thanks . . . LR6 and LR CC-2015 are the same program and it merely shows or hides features depending on the local licensing environment. The various Adobe programs you felt need to rid your computer of are necessary to check your license and convert the LR CC functionality to LR6 if that’s what you’ve paid for as well as verify that you are only using 2 licensed copies of either the serial-number-licensed or the AdobeID-signin-licensed program.
LR5-serial-licensed and LR5-CC-licensed where distinct programs and you could install LR5-serial any number of times. License-validation is more robust with LR6/2015.

I'm not sure if you were helped elsewhere already... Which version of Revel are you talking about. It sounds like Revel Mac -- is that right?
It sounds like you're indeed backing up your photos, but please do ensure ALL your photos are backed up outside of Revel before proceeding, to ensure no data loss.
Assuming you have Revel Mac...Finder is notoriously buggy when it comes to reporting file and folder sizes which have seen lots of changes. Your method described is the best way to see actual space used. Let's see if we can ensure your disk is tidy, no files are locked, etc. My advice would be to run a disk health check and a permissions check using Disk Utility. If any repairs were made, then reboot, and then empty your trash if anything is still in there. Hopefully this is reset Finder's byte count on the relevant folder.
If that still doesn't help, Revel might be maintaining a lock on some files. To fix this, uninstall and reinstall the app. (NOTE! Don't delete the app if Revel Mac is still uploading new photos, or these could be lost.) When you are ready, delete Revel Mac via Mac's Launchad view. Find Revel, and long-click on Revel's icon until the 'X' button appears to delete the app. Deleting the app this way removes the app as well as the app cache, and may unlock any files that are on your disk or stuck in your OS X Trash. Then empty your system trash. Then reinstall Revel from the Mac app store.
It also sounds like Keep Originals was ON in your app settings so that whatever set of photos you're maintaining in the Revel cloud storage are also copied to your disk.. My instructions above should not disturb any Adobe Revel Library files on your desktop. If you had 1 GB of files in the folder Pictures > Adobe Revel Library then Revel should pick those up again smoothly when you sign in again, without having to download them again. If the folder size is still reported incorrectly after all the steps above, you could rename Adobe Revel Library to something else, and then restart Revel. Revel will sync your library down to your computer again. When you're satisfied everything is synced again, you could then delete the older library.
I know there's a lot of suggestions here. If I can help break anything down into smaller steps, please let me know!
